Chair: Jane Thomas Repeal Bill Alliance coordinator
An alliance of advocacy, campaign and civil society groups has been working collectively following the publication of the uropean Union (Withdrawal Bill) or epeal Bill. Organisations and sectors in human rights, the environment, consumer and workers rights, equality, democracy, food, farming, trade and further education could potentially be profoundly affected by the Repeal Bill. The focus has been to make sure that these key principles do not drop off the "cliff edge"
The Alliance wants to see:
Open accountable law making - democratic processes based on robust parliamentary scrutiny and safeguards against transfer of power to the executive
A high standards UK – ensuring that as EU law is transposed into UK law standards from air quality to equality protections are maintained.
